The first notable task I did was to join SLACK.
I received an email from Udacity prompting me to join the Deep Learning team on Slack. Once I joined, I added a profile picture and looked around the website. Lots of people were commenting and chatting about the program and preparing for it.
Next, I completed a survey which asked me about my background, how I learned about the program, why I joined, etc.
After the survey, I read through the Student Handbook. It contains syllabus type info along with resources like books, videos, classes, etc.
Next, I read the detailed syllabus web page. I also read some of the comments at the bottom to see what others were thinking.
I watched a video Andrew Ng – Deep Learning in Practice: Speech Recognition and Beyond which discusses the state and future of deep learning.
On Sun. Jan. 29, 2017 I watched a live Q&A with Padmasree Warrior hosted by Udacituy. This was exclusively for Self-Driving Car, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning program students
